Re: Fangirly squeeage
Yeah it was on Emlyn too in JI, because remember we found the screencap that showed it when he was lower the men on the rope into the hole to get Jem and Mary?
I still think it was just a cuff, not really anything. Just like how I wear a silver ribbon in my left ankle, no apparent reason really, just because!

Ah yes, Susan, very nice pic! How about a big kiss for Emlyn!!
He cleans up nice, doesn't he? Glad we're all in agreement! (Yes, talk about kissable.) 'Course we could always talk about him further in the Miscellaneous forum under "Collagues" ... and then there's the Emlyn message board at http://bemlynwilliams.runboard.com.

Re: Fangirly squeeage
We're leaving poor Robert out, but he's gorgeous and we all know it already.
I never really payed any mind to Emlyn, but yeah, he does look pretty good.
The only movie I've ever seen him in besides JI was in a clip from Hatter's Castle, and it was a fanvid to the song "Behind Blue Eyes", were his eyes even blue?

You should watch Major Barbara, Elizabeth. Emlyn has a bit part but is oh so amusing!
And our Bobbie is ever so cute - all rugged and rough around the edges! (swoon)

Re: Fangirly squeeage
You've never seen Major Barbara OR Hatter's Castle? Oh dear, we've got to do something about that. Emlyn is a complete [expletive deleted] in Hatter's Castle and a little too convincing. It's like he and Bob are competing to be the worst villain! He doesn't look as good with his hair all slicked down either. He's kind of a jerk in Major Barbara too but a funny one. (And he's in love with Deborah Kerr in both movies too.) He has kind of a small role, but it's pivotal. (At least his name is pivotal to one of Bobbie's most important lines, which kind of summarizes the whole play as I understand it.) Of course, Bobbie steals the show from everyone in that movie.

By "buffed," do you mean all muscular and greased up like a weight lifter or a Chippendale? Yuck. I don't think that's hot either.
PS: Yep, Emlyn's eyes were a very striking light blue. Hard to tell that in Jamaica Inn, isn't it? (I never noticed till I heard it from someone who actually met him. She said he was very nice, BTW. To his fans, at least!)

Re: Fangirly squeeage
Nope, never seen either of them, but I really want to see Major Barbara.
Yes, that's what I meant by "buffed", I think it's so gross. One of my friend's brothers was like that and I gave him a hug ONCE, it was like hugging a brick wall.
It would be great to find a color photo of Emlyn, I'd love to see his eyes, the sound beautiful!
My eyes are blue too, but they're more of a smokey grey, when I was little they were soo much bolder. My mom said when I was a baby I would just sit there and stare at you like I was looking through you. Make me sound like a bionic baby or something.
But, I'd LOVE to see them!!

If you could even get your arms around a guy that bulked up! On the other hand, if you want huggable looking ...

It's not a very good one, but I posted the best I have right now in the "Robert Newton's colleagues" topic under "Miscellaneous." I think you can see them much better at the end of that video--where it magically turns to color like The Wizard of Oz.

Re: Fangirly squeeage
today in class I was daydreaming and I was thinking, what do you girls think Robert would be like today if he were still alive.
And, out of all the main girls on this forum (by "main" i mean who's been here a long time) Susan, Sue G., Jenny & Eva, myself, who do you think he would probably marry?
I think Susan because she knows more about him than he does!!
Just a thought, nothing to interfer with real life. Because I know Susan's happily married. I hope (just kidding Susan!)
But seriously, this is what happens during Algebra A1. What do you think?
