So you can't even type a person's NAME on this board and have it show up? What're those asterisks all about???

Re: Newton the actor (general)
Ugh, I know. The profanity filter on this board system is really bad. Unfortunately, I can't turn it off globally--each individual user has to do so in their settings (in the control panel). By default it's turned on, and that's why you're getting those ridiculous asterisks that make even innocent words look obscene. (Since I have the profanity filter turned off in my settings though, I don't see them--only in your quote do they show up.) Also, you have to be logged in for your settings to take effect.
--- "It's all rather stylish and pretty and rather worrying" --Timothy Spall on his costume in Sweeney Todd
"He must have been fun." --Emlyn Williams (liner notes from "Emlyn Williams as Dylan Thomas in 'A Boy Growing Up'")

Ha, some of my "angels" are a little on the evil side sometimes, including The Phantom of The Opera! lol
Erik, The Phantom!
I've never seen the movie that it's from, I just thought he looked like and angel in the picture, that's where I got "An Angel's Eyes" from.

haha!
Yes, I think it's stupid, but I don't really care about it.
I might turn it off just to join the crowd!

Re: Newton the actor (general)
You guyds have some terrific computer talents. Way beyond me. Eva, that must have been a lot of work to collect all those pix. I started dragging books off the shelves I thought RN might be mentioned in. A lot of them just mentioned his name -- I did find "bring on the
Empty Horces" in two parts. It's an old paperback and it had divided itself into two. I was looking for my old copy of Tahlulu's (sp) autobiography. She had such an appetite and was pretty revealing -- I thought she might have made a snack of RN. He must have looked really terrific in those early years. Couldn't find the book though. Susan has done a remarkable job of research.
