I forgot to say that's central time. I live in Texas. Where is everybody? Lacy

Re: Emlyn Williams
Hi again. I know it's a little confusing, but once you have a look through all the topics, hopefully, you'll get an idea of the organization. I've tried to group topics together under headings (with a brief description for each), and I moved this one from ... I think you had it under administration, but since it was in regards to an Emlyn Williams movie, I moved it here to Miscellaneous, which is the place to talk about any of Robert Newton's costars. Thanks for the alert!
Also, since the topic of Emlyn Williams seems to come up a lot (ahem), I created an separate board about him, which you can find here. If you like him, it could use a little action!
Greetings from upstate New York, BTW!

"He must have been fun." --Emlyn Williams (liner notes from "Emlyn Williams as Dylan Thomas in 'A Boy Growing Up'")

Re: Emlyn Williams
Thanks, I'll add a little more -- who I am -- under your other answer in introductions. I did like the prior chat rooms brightness and found it easier to read -- eyesight wise. I loved your answer to the young lady who was worried he might not be saved. According to all the descriptions you posted it sounded like he was a warm and affectiionate person. I'm sure God values those qualities more than some of his more human failings. Or else we're all in trouble. Lacy

Re: Emlyn Williams
Actually, I think that was probably Sue G.'s answer ... We're both Susans (and a C and a G look a lot alike), but she goes by "Sue" on the board to help differentiate. (And on this board, our names are really different! Hope that doesn't confuse people into thinking she's the webmistress. But that's OK, she has a better way with words than I do anyway!)
As for the board's appearance, I used a pre-made layout and picked the color combination that fit best with the rest of the site. To customize it you have to know CSS, and I really don't. But I'll put it on my list of things to work on! Anybody else have any feedback about the color scheme before I do?

Re: Emlyn Williams
Thank you Susan for the compliment but I am not better with words than you are. I never would have been able to put together a website like this and the other's that you have done too.
Hello Lacy, nice to meet you and welcome on board.
I'm Sue G.

Re: Emlyn Williams
No, you're better! OK, I'll accept that I'm a decent writer (thanks!), but I think you have more tact and maturity than I do in these discussions. Fair enough?
BTW, since we're officially in the Emlyn Williams zone right now, did anybody watch Wreck of the Mary Deare? He's not in it very much, but it's the best place I know of to see his luminous blue eyes in vivid technicolor. (We were talking about his eye color once in another topic.) Oh yeah, and he gives a really good performance too as a clever, stately barrister.

Re: Emlyn Williams
I just clicked on a smiley and got this. How do get a yellow one? Just time for a hi! I teach a speech class tonight as an adjunct for the local junior college.
Are any of you following the Dem primaries? Better than a soap opera. I have a lot of movies to catch up on. I watched most of Wreak...Dear, esp. Emlyns scene. Yes, he was good. I found my old vcr of Henry V, but it is so old the pix is fuzzy and the sound unintelligible. I had to get the script to follow it. I finally gave up and just watched RN's early scenes. He looked like he was terrific but I felt like I was watching through the sands of time. I can rent some of his films -- can you DVR a rented DVD or VCR? Bye for now. Lacy
